Alittle about Ringette

Defensive Triangle

ME!

BRITNEY (ME) TEAM ONTARIO

Ottawa National Recognition Award
Belle AA Provincal Champs 2008

Yeah National Champs 2008!!!!!

All you need to know about Ringette is that its the best Sport Evaaa!! It was invented in North Bay, a truly Canadian Sport. Over the years i have heard all the chirps from ringette from my high school jock friends to girl Hockey players. Ringette is a easier version of Hockey. The Ringette ring is a Donut. etc etc.

Truth be told if Ringette was Easy they would call it Hockey!! Yeah i went there.

But truthfully i have nothing against hockey. I'm just a true Ringette player at heart and it's been my life since i was in grade school. So it only naturally gets me aggravated when hockey players chirp it. Mostly because most people haven't tried it, and are ignorant to even diss it when they haven't tried it. Meanwhile I believe i can comment on Hockey caz i've actually tried the game. I love to watch guys Hockey... but don't ever make me watch Girls Hockey!! Brutal.

Most of my guy friends that have played it with us on the ODR actually have admitted that its harder then it looks to capture that ring on the stick. It's okay we always make it look Easy.

Major rules in Ringette
-pass ring over blue line to team mate.
-players can't skate through goalie crease
-goalies get possession of the ring when it goes in their crease, 5 seconds to distribute the ring to a team mate.
-There are no face-off like in hockey. Teams get possession of the ring in the circle.
-Only 3 people from each team in allowed past the ringette line.
-5 on 5

Equipment
-ringette stick
-ringette triangle visor
-Ringette pants. -> this is important. If your a ringette player that wears hockey pants, your a disgrace. Just get off the ice.
-skates, shine pads.. etc etc

Tonight my ringette team has a playoff game. Even now since i'm player in the old lady league i still get excited to play. But one major difference i have notice in this league the past few years playing in it is the additude on the ice. The older ladies playing are the most unsportsmanlike, Bitchy, Whiny, in mature players on the ice. The younger players have more respect and sportmanship then the older players.. Maybe you guys should retire, just saying. They could be my mom.

Neways Lets kick butt tonight West Ottawa.

There no jobs out there!

They tell you in high school that you go to College or University to study study study for 2-4yrs. After all the hard work you receive a diploma or a bachelors degree. So your finally done Post Secondary Education and they shove you out into the real world to find a job. Then you soon discover that there isn't any job in your field and all your friends are complaining about no jobs in their fields as well. Isn't this cruel? You work four years in University and all you want to do is put all that information you hopefully learnt to use... Put they have failed to inform us that.. there is no jobs. Then you need to get a serving job for the next five years to pay off all the money you spent on this so called Education (DEBT) to get a serving job. Which only requires a 50 dolla smart serve internet course.

How many jobs will there be for our children once they graduate in 20+ years.

So in conclusion i know have hated my education and all the student loans i have taken out.

Bentley's Training

Meet Bentley the Bichon/Maltese at 2 months old when we brought him home.

A day at the park to attempt to make the puppy sleep!

Who doesn't have a Build a Bear Teddy Bear. I'm the type of person that will steal the Teddy Bears Sweater And put it on my Puppy! Can you say too cute!

After a couple weeks Bentley finally got use to the leash!

Bentley running Through Fall Leaves

Bentley is now finally all Trained! Can you say thank GOD!! While having a puppy is cute and mostly entertaining i must break some news to you. It's a lot of Work. A lot of my friends are now getting puppies and asking me, "How did you do it?" "Where did you go to get him trained?" Well if you don't  have the extra money to spend on going to Pets Smart, to get them to train your puppy, your left with being the trainer.

So Here are some tips about training him to go pee.

1. In order to effectively train your puppy, your gunna need time. So take a couple days off work and make those days all about the puppy.

2. Purchase some Puppy Pee pads from your local pet store. This is what your going to initially train him on. Puppies have NO BLATTER. Let him pee on the pad, you can keep a couple pees on the pad. Once he pees on the pad, make a big deal about it! Lots of good boy Bentley!! Give him a little treat so he knows he was a good boy. Do this every time, be consistent. At first you are going to have to run and pick him up and put him on the pee pad. He needs to know that's where he needs to pee, not on your floor.

3. Limit the area that you allow your puppy to go. Don't give him the whole house to run around. When he needs to go pee he needs to be close to the pee pad. If you allow him a big space he's not going to know where it is. I put out two pee pads for training. Also your going to have to watch when he drinks water. A couple minutes later he will need to go. So automatically put him on the pee pad. Tell him to go pee.

4. Once he has mastered the pee pad your next step is to master outside. This is a big step! I did this after a couple days. If your spending the time it only takes a couple days. Dogs need the scent outside to go pee. So this may sound gross but it works and you only have to do it a couple times. Take a napkin or a paper towel and soak it in the puppy's pee... (prob from him peeing on your floor). When you take your puppy outside Get him to smell it. He will then go on the grass! Once that is successful once again make a big deal, say good boy or girl, and give him a treat! My puppy is now 6 months old and whines at the door when he needs to go outside! Which is awesome cause i don't have a backyard and have to put him on a leash every time. I found its better if you walk him a little down the street to go pee, instead of you standing there to wait for him to go pee.

Stay tuned for more Tips about training your puppy.
